(Not) About Me

To be clear, this is not about me – it is about you, your needs, and what I can do to help you. It’s your journey; I can help carry the load or serve as your guide. Need a hand? Let’s talk.

I have some skills and perspectives gained from decades of service in the military, in nonprofits, as a startup founder, and in both large and small companies. You can find out more below.

I enlisted in the US Air Force at age seventeen and served for ten years on active duty, during which I flew reconnaissance missions as a Chinese Mandarin and Spanish cryptologic linguist, accumulating over 3500 flight hours.  After transitioning from the active duty Air Force to the Army National Guard, I attended Officer Candidate School, serving as class president and graduating first in my class. As a Military Intelligence Officer, I have served as a Staff Officer at the Battalion Level, Commanded a Military Intelligence Company, and taught leadership at Officer Candidate School as a Training Officer and Chief Instructor.

I have extensive experience in commercial, government, and international business, and has enjoyed success as a startup Founder/CEO as well as in senior executive roles in multiple technology companies across sales, business development, and product leadership.

My consulting focus is on growing businesses and non-profits, crafting strategies, developing emerging leaders, helping leaders and their teams understand customers, and solving problems.

My charitable and volunteer work includes service as a Trustee at The St Paul’s Schools in Brooklandville, MD which serve over 1300 preschool through 12th grade students. I also serve on the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Technology Committee.

I’m a graduate of Excelsior College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and Chinese Area Studies, and earned a Master of Science degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.
